Innovative circRNA Preparation Method Secures Chinese Patent, Boosting Expressive & Regulatory circRNA Development

Our newly developed technology, entitled "A Non-Residual Sequence Circular RNA Based on Ribozyme Self-Splicing and Its Preparation Method," was granted a Chinese invention patent on June 27, 2025, with its PCT application currently underway.

Exclcirc Biomed has achieved another breakthrough in the underlying technology for RNA self-circularization. This Pure-TlE self-splicing technology represents a further advancement of existing circularization schemes: through an ingenious junction site design, redundant
sequence elements can be eliminated, enabling full simulation of natural circRNA sequences. This approach not only further reduces the immunogenicity of artificially synthesized circRNAs but also advances the large-scale manufacturing for both expressive and regulatory circRNAs.

This innovative technology has garnered the attention of several university partners in China, and we have initiated preliminary cooperation on the application of specific non-coding circRNAs. We anticipate that this techonology will foster more scientific research collaborations in the near future.
